So there seems to be alot of interest in Jennifer Armour these days. And tons of searches on here.
The girl undoubtedly has lots of guts to go up against a mega enterprise like Beyonce et al., not once but twice. As stated previously, her case was dismissed in 2005 by a local judge in Houston who stated that Knowles’ “Baby Boy” and Armour’s “Got A Little Bit Of Love For You”, were substantially dissimilar.
[Sources say] that Jennifer’s side wants it known that a highly respected expert musicologist had already determined the two songs to be substantially similar in 2003, satisfying that legal standard and inspiring this appeal in Lubbock TX. Their expert stated that the two songs were substantially similar, yet copyright laws reference that that claim can only be made by a non-expert, which is another reason Armour’s side wanted a jury to hear the clips and facts to make a determination.
Armour reported that “Got A Little Love For You” was apart of a demo presented to Beyonce. Something that Beyonce’s side never revealed (and that Armour recently learned of).
What makes this case so interesting is that Armour is a small fry –in the big mac world of R&B. Her website ( www.jenniferarmour.com/spotlight.php ) even encourages visitors to suggest who her recent song “Is It God Or The Devil” should be submitted to: and Beyonce is among the artists. Only time will tell where this case will go.
And legal experts say it could take weeks or months for the three panel judges to decide if this case moves forward.

Regarding Justin’s comment, any idiot can see that Jennifer Armour’s case had merit and she is telling the truth; she evidently just chose the wrong attorney (read her blog at http://www.jenniferarmour.wordpress.com). I’m a friend of hers, one of the many friends that she has asked not to respond on these types of things, which is more than I can say for the 24/7 press team that seems to be afforded to artists with a big budget behind them. And since I’m not in the entertainment or journalism fields, I’m not going to close with some “sparkly” comment about how great Beyonce is just to keep my job. I fail to see the big deal about her. Go ahead and post the list of grammys and public appearances, videos, links, etc…whatever you need to do or are paid to do. I just don’t see her even close to the level she is hyped up and I’m not alone. I just don’t appreciate seeing a great singer’s reputation messed with on this level like I’ve seen done to Jennifer.
