Maybe it was me and all that’s going on in my life, but Persia White’s character Lynn Searcy is not all that interesting.
She is the mother earth, rock it out girl , but I don’t think that the writers have spent enough time making me care about her. Sure her singing career is finally taking off and she can now pay most of her bills, but she’s never really had grown up love. After all this time (and with the age ranges of the characters 30+), why is she still canodoling (sp) / sleeping with a college student? Aren’t there other green black people NOT in college? As adults I think they become lobbyists (and not all of them are straight laced), I know a few if the writers need some type of frame of reference.
