Don’t Stop Believin’: Kanye West

 Hi Comeback Boys and Girls

I realize my posting has been a little…well..erratic.  But on every comeback there in lies some retrospection and shopping. Yes, I did skip out on yall a few times to browse the latest cashmere accessories (did you know that Zella-my favorite work out gear) has a cashmere hoodie. Did yall know that? And did yall also know that your favorite comeback girl ALSO can jog a mile in under 14 minutes. This is a victory since Comeback Girl couldn’t stay on the elliptical machine long enough to get through Beyonce’s “Get Me Bodied”.

Anywhoo I have sooo much to say. Of course Kanye’s mother has been on my mind for awhile now. And life is never promised: but you know she’s looking out for him.

He performed in Brussels a few days ago and spoke about her. He had angels posted on the larger than life projection screen.

Comeback Girl wants to know do you ever talk to your angels? I mean do you ever acknowledge that they are even there? That there is somebody or something that has your back in addition to infinite source-wisdom/God/Allah/et. al.

The tribute rolls out with Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin”.

Go ‘head with your jogging self! Next Monday I’m starting training with my company for a mini-marathon (13 miles, yikes!). We’re gonna be some hot mamas come springtime, girlie!
But I KNOW you’re NOT jogging anywhere in a cashmere hoodie.
Ok, back to topic for reals. I know I’ve had angels all my life. My mother says I used to talk to my angels when I was a child of course I don’t remember that. When I was in high school, I think my angel was a bit flirty cause I always felt brushes on my dunk-a-dunk and there would be no one anywhere near me. But the latest interaction with my angel was last week when I was waiting to cross Connecticut Avenue, listening to my iPod and sending emails on my BlackBerry, totally oblivious to the world. I stepped off of the curb with my head down and I felt like I walked into an invisible wall, I just suddenly stopped. The cross walk had not told me to cross, traffic was still coming and if it wasn’t for my angel putting up that wall to stop me, I wouldn’t be posting in this blog now.

I don’t think I almost died, I just would have been hit real hard by a metro bus. But I could have been PAID, gurrrrrrrllllll!
Ok, on another note, you have your Comeback Girl Stationery photos here, but can a sistah make a purchase? I mean, Christmas is right around the corner and I’d like to buy some. What kind of “ontry-pa-newer” are you, anyway?
