Comeback Kids Happy Happy Vday and Lalah Day.
Update: “O” called last night a little after midnight to wish me a happy vday and againg today. I am waiting on the flowers. AND THERE BETTER BE FLOWERS. And because Mercury is in retrograde an ex or two always come out of the wood work to wax…philosophical. But there is no philosophical on Seattle (I did not like Redmond. Counted 2 black people at the airport. and my ass wasn’t moving. So how’s that for philosophy?)

this is so funny, I went to angie stones website to listen to her new song “sometimes” cuz im to cheap to buy a cd and i saw she was comming to detroit Feb 22nd and get this she is with Lalah Hathaway and Rahsaan Patterson!! hot diggity dawg!! I’m on the phone trying to get tix right cuz im taking my damnself lol. was that who Lalah was with when you went??

Lalah & Rah, and Ledi have the best chemistry i have ever seen. They are kindred spirts. If artists had soulmates it would be them for real.
Now I wanna come to the D!!!!! I know Angie is a great performer too. I don’t think she’s ever toured with Lalah or Rah so it will be something to see.

Bad news I can’t go I realized after I checked the ticket price. Tix was starting at $48 and God knows where I woulda been sitting at. I really wanted to go but I mean where I’m from $48 dollars turns into something like $150 by the end of the night lol so maybe next time. Next year when I can really afford to do stuff like this a sista will be front row. On a positive note Jill Scott is coming next month (with whom I dunno) this I can’t miss. This time I have a month to add it in my budget and do some trickin to raise money in the mean time lol sike sike im not trickin lol but I am going. haha

AWE Mikki she/rah and ledi are worth it. EJam (another Lalah Head) is from Europe. And she usually plays some European dates and I want to go. She may even do the Capital Jazz Festival cruise.
