As you can see, I am back. Did yall miss me comeback lovlies??? Denver when I left was 60 degrees, the day before was 30 something. I don’t understand what in the world is going on with the climate.
On another note, I almost went to TSA jail (well not really). I still had this complicated wine opener contraption in the bottom of my purse from weeks ago for an event that I hosted with my professionals group. We were sampling a Cab from one of the only Black vineyards in the country: the Brown Estate. Its funny or maybe extremely sad, how I was allowed to board with the contraption (which looks like a boyscout tool-including cork screw, small scissors, and small knife) at Regan (DCA). But on the return, I was stopped like my name was Osama-lina.
I asked if I was going to TSA prison. What do they do with people like me who wouldn’t hurt a fly but attempt to unknowingly board planes with dangerous things in their fashionable black hole bags and purses (or even murses LOL-shout out to the man baggers and the Mama’s little husbands). The agent laughed. And said I had to either check my contraption or throw it away. I was happy to chuck it and move along quickly. But then I got to thinking about DCA. And how you would think being minutes from the Pentagon would inspire tougher security checks.
Lastly, I hate to get all snobby in this piece as well but I also asked God if in like 10 years, I could actually do some type of jet sharing thing-a-ma-doodle, after MIA and DIA and now Ft Lauderdale in another week. He/She said yes. I’m not asking for my own plane. Just a private jet share where I can just drive to the nearest airport (which is super small) and is only 2 miles away from my house and board.
