Michelle Hoskins resolved to take “control of her own destiny” after being divorced and broke. From her great great grandmother’s recipe she decided to make syrup. She took boxes of the formulation to her local grocery store. She asked if they could stock it, and if it sold she would invoice them. Well sold it did. And then she set her sights on Denny’s. So everyday for two years she called them (to daily “no thank you’s”, until finally the CEO took her call. She landed a 3 million dollar contract from the Denny’s deal. And today does about 8 million a year in sales.
Here is to never EVER EVER giving up. And also recoginizing that there are always signs of “little wins”. The yes’s of small local grocery stores. People who let you in-if you let them let you in.
