***I finally got the email out last night. I just channeled my self diagnosed ADD, and made some homekey miracles happen***

When I was little…like pea green leisure suit little..like little Nia singing (Jeffery Osborne/LTD) little, I would tell my mother when I took crayon to her nice white walls, shaved my eyebrows off, swallowed a rock, put balled up little pieces of paper up my nose …well you get the point. I would say, “Mommy, I did something”. I was a little bit of terror. I kind of feel bad as an adult. Let’s just say I remember the layout of Children’s Hospital EXACTLY, even today.

Lastnight I went to a local restaurant with my friend. Its a cute little spot that gets a nice lunch and dinner crowd. They pipe alot of really good music. I requested the owner play “Self Portrait”. He looked a little like: “I never get requests like this”. But I returned a “I supported you, brought everybody down here when the paint was barely dry. Get it done.” in my head. He replied “SURE. bring the copy we’ll play it. I gave him my copy this morning that I reserved for signing, which meant I had to buy another copy today (well a few, one of my faithful readers mentioned I should do a giveaway…I’m still thinking about…I feel kind of like, discovering Lalah is an experience. I want people to feel like it was THEIR idea.

Comeback Kids this CD is really the best CD over the past year to date that I have heard. Sure, I’m slightly biased. Ok I’m VERY biased. But I have never never heard a CD where I liked every single song for a different reason. “Outrun The Sky” I loved. But this is SOOOOOOOOOOO EXCELLENT. The writing Comeback Kids is incredible. Right now, I’m deeply into “That Was Then”…

“going through changes…Im back where I once began… A distant stranger… I used to know… So long ago… enlighten ME Lighten ME up… make Me all over again…Come on and let ME in.

It was like a lifetime passed right through my… fingers… So long ago… so much I didn’t know…. Kinda like a light shined down and showed ME how. How to move on… That was then- and this is now.

Waking up it seems… am I the dreamer or the dream… Is it possible to know…tomorrow unfolds too slow.

Shaking ME waking ME up… Clearing my vision and then… seems like I’m born again.”

Hot damn. Comeback Kids. This is music AND POETRY. I feel like I’m in English class again, getting into the passages like really mesmerized.
