Tragic Inevitability

Regrets Anyone?

I was over at VSBthis morning and I didn’t think they were gonna be waxing philosophical on a Friday to the tune of regrets. Like are there people you  wish you never met? Are there things you never wish you did ? Are there things you wish you had done or better ?

I believe that all people and situations are by design. They are sent to show you opportunities for growth. Imagine meeting a man or woman you aren’t ready for. I thank God for “O” on many levels. I would hate to meet a great man and show him my not so great self three years ago. It happens all the time I think. We meet people who we aren’t ready for or who aren’t ready for us. Kismet is when two well aligned people come together at just the right time and where their “readiness” is a match.

Friendships and social situations are the same. We hate things in people that WE ourselves wish to repress. They’re like mirrors. For you to notice AND HATE it, means on some level you are projecting it and thereby hate it about YOU. And it doesn’t mean that you need to go buy them a Popsicle, it only means that that’s part of the inner work you must do.

If this part of my life had a soundtrack then surely my favorite singer in the world, Lalah Hathaway would be singing it from (Self Portrait). This is a song you can’t drive to. Its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO damn deep. If Rihanna is my hamburger then Lalah is my porterhouse.

…”nothing can stay the same…only the change remains..so bittersweet to know …that everything will go…leaving the world just so…the way that its supposed to be…maybe we…maybe this…maybe this is not a tragedy.”

**I hope my 2 readers enjoy this today** (inside blog joke).

  • lol comeback its not 2 readers its more like 2.5 j/k. I remember that post “would you date you” I would say at this point I would have to say no. I have to admit that even as bad as I want to be with someone I am simply just not ready, sometimes its hard to face that fact. They say there are 3 types of people, the ones that come for a reason, season, or lifetime. Once you figure out why the people in your life are there, I think only then will you be able to make choices on how to deal with situtions they bring.

  • if I met a 6′2 sista that was a happy goofy quirky nerd, had a huge ass and overly wide hips, large chest, college educated, well spoken, light eyes, with simple likes and an outgoing personality but is passionate about loving another and knows how to do so?

oh shit I would SOOOOOO date a female me!!!
Im not too sure how much I would like me if I was a woman looking for a man though. I dont know if what I offer and what I woman really wants match up. in fact, I dont really know what women want at all since alot seem to have a”checklist” of things.
tall no kids, nice teeth and a job seem to be on everyones list. thank god I got the basics covered!

  • LMAO Hasani, You got the first 3 right but you can add

trustworthy, romantic, unbuggabooish, and the ability to smack it, flip it, rub it downnnnn!!!!!! oooh noooo!!!

    *fell*

  • A little bit of everything. As long as your a Jack of All trades and can offer swagger, confidence, good times, good head, and a little bit of everything every female has ever asked for … your golden.

Really … at the end of the day … you need to be able to make another person happy. And not by your own standards, but whatever make her happy!

  • i will put the playlist or send the playlist to you

i mostly put the playlist online after i take the mix offline
why ? because i think people have to listen with their ears and not just by watchin the name of a artist and already judging that the song is good and bad

let your ears be the judge

the playlist i will publish soon

    thanx again

  • Good idea E. You are really good at these jams. I’ve listened to it twice.

“Baby I need your love”..it sounds like the “Poetry Man” Phoebe Snow??? (i think I’m wrong) Then I tink its Angela Bofil (DAMN she was bad back in the day) I really need to expand EVEN MORE…I do know a little something…most people would guess i only listen to Lalah. I also hear E. Badu.

Its fun just listening and trying to figure.

I wish I played an instrument.

  • You are my favorite rorrim. I want exceept loveU. C dit
