After looking at parts of the BET awards last night, this post series sure is appropriate. I guess this is what you get when you let children define an industry. But for the record I’ve been listening to Rachelle Ferrell since I was just a kid myself. I recently heard “Waiting” again on youtube. And I guess at 18 or 19, I was just so clueless about the lyrics. Then, it was just incredible “sangin” and she’s an equally great pianist with a “six and some change octave range”. Today I can appreciate how incredibly climatic and sexy this song is. I can also appreciate the imagery (set to music) of what it means to wait for a really special man (even while filling your time dating the not so special ones). Ferrell has enormous vocal control.
And when you decide that your first unborn child will be concieved to a song, I think you defininately have yourself a musician Comeback Lovelies.

I love her music. Yes, the kids definately don’t know what’s up when it comes to music–if you get a chance, check out my recap of the BET Awards (www.espot.wordpress.com) and FYI-Ms Hathaway is featured artist of the month. I got busy and forgot to tell you.
Anyway, I’ve been online today when I should be enjoying the sun. I got a few more things to do and then I’m off of here. About to venture to a few more blog spots.
