Comeback Kids, Rahsaan Patterson has been on the scene for a long time. I fell in love with “Stop By” and “Get To Where You Are”. His live performances are phenomenal. And I was no more good in the world when I got his latest, Wines & Spirits and heard him cover Sade’s “Love Is Stronger than Pride”. NOBODY CAN SING SADE. NOBODY. He nailed it, with his very own interpretation and twist.
His second single on “Wines” I believe was “Feels Good”. Music should do just that. Listening to this song for the first time on the radio, I finally got that just like music, Love should feel good. It shouldn’t always be about the push and pull and the the struggle. And Comeback Kids, that’s what music should do, it should alter the way you view the world, it should underscore what you already know, and sometimes change your mind.

Good Sangin’ is what I need right about now.
Hey Comeback, I have been a little “incognegro” lately because I have been on that “looking for a job” grind. No one is hiring at the moment but at least I got this graduate degree because for a moment I thought I would never make it through school.

Never actually heard of this guy til comeback turned me on to him. I hated his sound at first but his musical spirit is pretty infectious. So I have him on my panora station now.
I always said I wanted to listen to neo soul because the music always appealed to me, but I could never find enough artist in the genre.

I will have to liten to them little by little.
I missed the whole neo soul boon and not every artist and song appeal to me. but every once and a blue mooon i happen to catch a song that i love and it reminds me of why I used to lvoe music so much and what music is to culture and a lifestyle.
I may need to get an ipod and itunes one of these days and start pouring through these artists. but Rahsaan Patterson is a gifted individual who dosent look like he will ever have an appeal for the mainstream crossover…
but then again we wouldnt want that now would we.
