Grasshopper, what have you come to tell me?

Grasshopper, what have you come to tell me?

This was the biggest grasshopper I had ever seen. It was on my office window for most of the day. It measured nearly 7 inches in length. Of course I thought maybe it was a dead relative or just a big insect with a message.

I still haven’t figured out quite what the message was. But I’m sure it was important.

(update: Thank You Comeback Reader, Miss Cortez: I do believe that it is a Praying Mantis. However, here forthwith still being referred to as a big ole grasshopper. Why? because doesn’t grasshopper sound more intriguing, purposeful, and karate kid like ?

According to Wikipedia in the Chinese dictionary (the Mantis in poetry) represents courage and fearlessness.
