- Ho Ho Ho
Yeah, call me crazy optimistic.
I’m cold crushin’ on a few people. I’m not half steppin when I go to Starbucks in the morning anymore most days,cause everytime I’m looking crazy the finest man in the world that I ain’t never ever seen falls through to order a real cute yet masculine espresso. “Brother Hummy” mentioned something about making a list yesterday in the comment section. I’ve been bullshytin’ about actually making it.
(Did Anybody see “W”? Just so you know I’m droppin references to that movie until “Nixon” comes out and then I’ll switch)
Maybe because I know how spiritual and important writing is, particularly list writing, especially as it relates to what you are actively seeking to attract. Also because I think I may be a little afraid of getting what I actually want. I’m working on that though Comeback lovelies.
I’m a serious dreamer. And several years ago. I wrote a list of some business things I would accomplish. And wouldn’t you know, I’m doing or have done, at least 80% of the list. It’s weird. And I can’t explain it. But there is something VERY POWERFUL about writing on paper what you will attract. I’m also a serious nut here (as you can tell) about language. I don’t like the words/phrases “I’m trying”, “I want to do”, “I can’t do”, “I’ll never do/be have”. Firstly a “want” is wishful thinking. The mind is literal. If you “want something” you’ll manifest the act of ”wanting” it. Your list should be as if its already here or on its way.
The Comeback Girl’s List:
1. I am attracting a man with a clean plate. He has dealt with all previous samsonite carryon relationship luggage. And nicely tied up previous unhealthy situations, entanglements with a pretty bow. And decorated it with good hindsight and perspective.
2. He is kind and fair especially to me as well as others. When I’m looking and even when I’m not.
3. Great and compatible sex@ual appetite. I’m moving into my sex$ual peak. And he WILL be up for the task. All over the house at a moment’s notice. Ok maybe not at a moment’s notice but close to it.
4. He must be outrageously funny and corny.
5. His mind gotta be right. This is VERY important. I’m really tired of healing my man. Like come to me fixed. No broken mofo’s.
5a. Be able to witness to me. Tell me some things. Make me think.
6. Gotta love God.
7. He does NOT have a poverty consciousness. He does not think like a new born slave. His mind is expansive and he his making serious actionable steps toward his goals.
8. Adores me.
9. Is honest. Even about little things, but does not tell me I look “chubby” in stuff, even when I’m slackin on the treadmill pimpin.
10. Intellectual and passionate about what he believes in. (I have this dream of being in vogue. Posing with my straight laced intellectual man. And I’m in the most fabulous gown to ever be created. We’re a power couple. And our home is equally fab too.)
11. Sexy in a nerdy contained way. I got enough extra extra slight diva-ness for the both of us LOL.
12. Doesn’t hold grudges and won’t go to bed mad.
13. Service minded, but doesn’t have a need to announce it to the world.
14. I’m also a serious nuturer to almost EVERYONE I know. My man won’t take advantage of that. He knows that I am his lover not his mother.
14a. Has a healthy love and respect for his Mom. His parents don’t necessarily have to be together but he has a good frame of reference for how relationships work.
15. Is his own man, meaning he doesn’t constantly seek support or co-signage from his friends and family.
So what’s your list. If Santa was to bring you a man/woman for Christmas what would he/she look like. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE NEGATIVE SMALL THINKING. PUT LIST IN ACTIVE TENSE. Santa is bringing me: (fill in the blank)
The trick question now is, are you all those things that you are actively attracting. Remember how like attracts like?

Great list! You just made me really think about something when say put it in ‘active tense’. You are right about the mind being literal. I never really made a real list. I just mentally noted things I did/didn’t want. I think I might should at least write the things down that I think about.
Let me sleep on this. I will get back to you in a few hours…

Heeeeeyyyy Comeback! Girl you and me and our kindred brains…. My post is just like this… (except not as deep). LOL. I can’t swim, tend to tread on the “shallow” end of the pool.
Annywho,
Santa is bringing me a man,
1. That loves his family.
2. That is open minded and creative.
3. That loves GOD and is working to strengthen his relationship with Him.
4. That loves me, regardless , whether I’m in flip flops or stilettos.
5. That communicates with me.
6. That is honest and has integrity (and not just when people are looking [thanks Jac!])
7. That loves all kinds of music and doesn’t give me the side eye when I blast N.E.R.D’s “Thrasher” or Lily Allen.
There is so much more…..
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:06 am
@ Nick..Jesus wept. Nice list.
@ Ms. Dev its so true. you shouldnt get down with I want, I need, I think i want but I prolly won’t get…the universe is gonna bless you with that EXACTLY…”thinking you want xyz or needing xyz”. If you have it actively …it will show up.
now if you’re ready for what your asking for? well thats another dam#n post altogether.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:12 am
Thanks Comeback..

Good Morning Everyone,
Good list Comeback and Nicki. I have a list and a questionaire too. I felt I had to do this. I don’t want to waste time or put up with any more BS from women.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:14 am
And …Hummy the list is???????????????????????
can you share some of it.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:15 am
Thanks Humble!
You’ve got to put yours on up too…. You inspired my post today as well.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:30 am
My bad, here is my list
1) Have your priorities in order. Understand that you have to get your ones up then get your fun up.
2) Have to be in national and international politcs. Or have an understanding of the past and current struggles of people of color in the world. If you don’t know you have to be willing to learn.
3) Understand that you don’t give at your convenience all the time. Sometimes you sacrifice for the better of everyone.
4) In it for the long haul. Things aren’t going to be honky dorey all the time. I don’t need someone to bail the first time things get rough.
5) Independent.
6) You must be responsible for your own happiness. It is not the responsibility of another human being to make you happy.
I got a few more I will post later.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:33 am
” You must be responsible for your own happiness. It is not the responsibility of another human being to make you happy.”
Amen!
I agree…. I think people who rely on significants to make them happy turn into “stage 5 clingers!”
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:38 am
OH Comeback.. on my first official day back to my blog family you make my heart SOAR! Your list is perfect! so is yours nicki! All the things you both have listed are all the things I am waiting to come into my life. I am practicing everyday making myself the female version of everything I ask from someone else. The one thing on the list that touched home for me the most was:
“7. He does NOT have a poverty consciousness. He does not think like a new born slave. His mind is expansive and he his making serious actionable steps toward his goals.”
This is on POINT .. so many people have lofty goals but never put a single action towards them.
BRAVO! ..
oh and we have a new post .. FINALLY!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:39 am
Thank you Jolie! I’m checkin out your post now… it’s good to have you back around these parts.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:51 am
“get your ones up then get your fun up”
thank you brotha humble!!
Comeback I really like your list its very detailed lol. Ever since the day I found out Jim Carry wrote himself a million dollar check, I took on the mentality of writing down my goals. I also wrote myself a million dollar check, there is power in the pen!!
As far as a man is concerned I have my ideas of what I want but it seems like every time I ask God for something that pertains to a man he sends me EXACTLY that, and every time I leave something out!!! So I for sure don’t ask any more, I just leave it in his hands to bring what he knows I should have.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:54 am
goooood morning! i’m coming back to thoroughly read your listy-list when i get to the gig. (shouldn’t even be on the pc right about now)
but i couldn’t help to watch this and think of us poooor women.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8:56 am
An aside, does anyone know who this jerk is?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:00 am
@Saucy: Ewww… we’ve all had an encounter with this guy. Ew.
He is the reason we are standoffish.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:02 am
In addition to what you and some of the others have already mentioned:
He will be my #1 cheerleader. Which leads to, he will be supportive and understanding of my career.
He will be able to communicate with a diverse group of people (not just with Junior ‘nem).
He will listen and not complain if I’m in a talkative mood.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:03 am
@nicki: some lame. I hate when naggas do dumb shat like this just because you dont wanna talk to them or be grabbed up on. He was wack for:
1. Disrespecting a woman
2. For wasting the whole bottle of champagne
3. For getting that shat on tape..
smdh!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:04 am
oh and to add to comeback, nicki and shelia’s list:
He will be my best friend, my confidant.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:05 am
@Jolie: I know right??? I thought he was a football player of something, mad cause the chick didn’t want to be grinded on….. When you mix liquor and lames, it makes a mess….. this is why I don’t dance on the dancefloor.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:06 am
Oh yes, he has to be my best friend!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:17 am
@ Humble..um yeah can I holla at your list (wk cite Mik) um..it feels a little like prision. Get your one’s up and then get the fun up? Say what? I can get some fun and get some one’s at the same time.
@ Shelia…yes I love that..CHEER ME ON. Dammit. Its alot of hatin’ @zz men out there. I don’t understand it. When I win we both win and vice versa.
@ Saucey… “but i couldn’t help to watch this and think of us poooor women.”
I rebuke this message. ***sprinkles holy water on your sentence LOL***
@ Mikki you gotta be exact..or the shyt becomes wack.
“As far as a man is concerned I have my ideas of what I want but it seems like every time I ask God for something that pertains to a man he sends me EXACTLY that, and every time I leave something out!!! So I for sure don’t ask any more”
You betta make the list and check it twice. But its true it does come just like you ask for it. Which is why you gotta be detailed.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:23 am
“Which is why you gotta be detailed”
comeback I have never been a detail oriented type of person so thats my down fall HOWEVER, I have decided to join the writers club in order to help hone my skills because I really need some detail in my life not just when it comes to a man.
So I got my story line already (just thought of it this morning)
I got a question about these novels, can you writing before November or do you have to wait until the exact day?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:24 am
Yep, yaw know that chemistry test I took last Wednesday? The one that I felt pretty good about?
Yep, 49%. Yep. You read that right.
I got my grade so far, I’m at a C… It’s gonna screw up my GPA but I’m good with a C right now.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:29 am
@ mik..you gotta wait. Until the exact day. All I know is that you all will be included. I really haven’t framed how it begins, ends etc.
@ nick “Yep, 49%. Yep. You read that right”
are we to blame. I feel bad.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:41 am
are we still playing “Clue”?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9:46 am
@Comeback: No girl.. you guys aren’t to blame at all…. It’s me.
I’m not used to having to study HARD for something. I’ve never had to. Plus it’s these daggone four days a week class, it’s my first time doing this
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:02 am
Comeback man that’s a big list…good luck with that homie.
Nicki your list is nice as well.
I currently don’t have a list b/c I currently don’t want a man. I’m not in the right frame of mind at the moment to even venture into another relationship.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:03 am
@Mik: You are nuts on Clue. Comeback was supposed to be giving us a revelation today.
Go T! Honey ain’t nothing wrong with healing yourself first… nothing wrong at all.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:07 am
@teacia:
“I currently don’t have a list b/c I currently don’t want a man. I’m not in the right frame of mind at the moment to even venture into another relationship”
So while your on this man hiatus are you working on you? I think I am still going to post my list because it will force me to work on myself and therefore bring forth all the good things that I list in a man to me.. and somehow one day he will APPEAR! POOF .. like magic..laws of attraction darlin..
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:13 am
Jolie girl, I’m a work in progress everyday. I’ve made some serious strides…and I can only become better.
I just don’t think I have the energy for any additional disappointments right now. Not to mention I’m not even sure what kind of man I need in my life. I thought I used to know and have it on lock, but I’m not so sure anymore.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:31 am
I was trying to figure out how to explain how I feel today but my horoscope did a much better job:
If your love life is plaguing you with doubts right now, the Lovers and the High Priestess aren’t really going to be much help to you today, Dee. So take care not to rock the boat for no reason – it might just capsize and dam up your future! You may be in a very indecisive mood all day today, and a bit sad. Take time out to think, but don’t go digging around in the past. If you want to advance your career, have confidence in your own abilities. The Sun provides you with extra self-confidence and self-assurance today, but it’s still a struggle, because the Lovers invariably mean nagging doubts. Don’t give in to the fear that you’re not up to other people’s expectations. Quite clearly, you do have all the competencies and skills to fulfill your contract, so there’s not reason to worry. Just get on with it!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:36 am
Howdy do Folks
@Comeback et al
Piggybacking off Ms.D “I just mentally noted things I did/didn’t want” –
Is it just as important to list the things we will not accept?
I have to gather my thoughts for my list…which will probably be a regurgitation of those listed already.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:37 am
I’m feeling really down folks…and you know what we do when we get sad…EAT, and it’s taking everything in me to not indulge in a bunch of comfort junk food.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:42 am
“@Mik: You are nuts on Clue. Comeback was supposed to be giving us a revelation today.”
@ Nick..I did in the “anti up post”..yall don’t pay attention to me. You had the FIRST speculation. The second is in my “Face Your Pocket(book)
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:43 am
“Comeback man that’s a big list…good luck with that homie.”
@ Teacia…i rebuke this message in the NAME OF JESUS. ***sprinkles holy water. He is on his way**

Hi NO…where is your list?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:51 am
Yeah Nicki, the problem is that I’m too lazy to actually get up and go get something to eat…quietly I’ve been hungry since I got to work but lack the motivation to move.
Thanks No More…that was really sweet.
LOL @ Cuzzo…girl you’re a mess.
Comeback, claim your man girl…and while you’re at it claim one for me for when I’m in better spirits.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:52 am

Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:52 am
@Nicki
I like it – refreshing. That’s gonna be my tagline for today
“the world is my runway”
(even if I’m wearing snow boots today, lol)
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:52 am

@Comeback
“@ all the ladies…did somebody say something about snow boots??? Nick you and Jac should do a fashion post here.”
I mentioned the snowboots. I commented on SSSO that they should do a post about fashion – I’d love to help
Everyone will have a diff of opinion of course. I HATED uggs when they first came out – now they are slightly more tolerable
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:09 am
Cuzzo-Ma’am I would like to see you via e-mail ASAP.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:10 am
@Cuzzo: Me and Jac are getting a fashion page together. We’d love to have you on board for it.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:11 am
@Tea
snowboots have become a staple in the wardrobe of the north/northeast woman. Not necessarily worn when it’s snowing either.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:11 am
I have another session tonight with my trainer but I’ve completely lost interest in it all and will be asking for a refund of my money. I don’t feel like being harassed for the next 5 weeks.
All I want from Santa is:
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:12 am
@No More: No honey, you’ve got to get rid of those daggone socks! EW.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:12 am
@Jac
“Ma’am I would like to see you via e-mail ASAP”

@Humble: LOL. Some random girl on the PZI page. I’m cracking up
@T: Sylveena’s voice just screams sex. I love her!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:16 am
1) Most be open-minded. You dont have to agree with everything, but you have to at least be able to acknowledge that there are different sides to a story and everything isnt black and white.
2) Must be strong in herself and her beliefs. She isnt easily swayed by society and other peoples views on what she wants in life and how she feels about things. She isnt afraid to be herself no matter the situation or people around. Basically cant be scared to say f*** you to anyone who deserves it, including myself.
3) Is comfortable with being the woman in the relationship. Expects and deserves to be treated equally but knows that there are appropriate times when the man is going to have to put his foot down, so she respectfully falls back and supports the man and his decisions.
4) Being able to communicate her feelings, honestly and directly. Not holding her tongue when she feels slighted in the relationship, and eager to voice her concerns and listens to mine, but also knows that there is a time and place to talk about such matters.
5) Have some sort of passion/hobby, whether its being with friends, or reading, something. Doesnt have to spend every minute of her life up under me, and understands that I have other things in my personal life that I may to do, and supports me on those things.
Thats all i can think of for now, if a woman can do 1,2 and try to do 3 she would probably be 75% successful in dealing with me.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:21 am
Boy am I a nerd. This fascinates me.

“when the man is going to have to put his foot down, so she respectfully falls back and supports the man and his decisions”
Damn this is sexy… I need another shower. GOTTA GO.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:24 am
@No More: “Being able to communicate her feelings, honestly and directly.”
Loves this.. you never know how it important this is until you don’t have it. The ex hated me to express emotions.. I’m not really a cryer so when I do, it’s serious.
This fooo got mad at me b/c I cried when he left. hell, it was a long distance relationship. It was hard! LOL
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:27 am
NoMore-Wow….
It really amazes me that none of us are really asking for a lot but we’ve all been screwed over and currently single-but trying to claim it for Christmas.
When I find someone who embodies my list and I will find them I am walking up to them and saying “All I want for Christmas is you” AND Does anyone know the song “Santa Claus is a Black Man”?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:28 am
@ NIK…i died… “POST COITAL CANNABALISM” WTF ..sounds too much like life LOL. Shyt happens every day but in a more figurative way. Pu$$y power gone real left of center…
I had a “grasshopper” come and visit me: http://thecomebackgirl.com/2008/08/17/sabbatical-day-2-3/
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:29 am
Nicki: All I could say is wow…I mean I’m already having issues over here…
And you know when you think about it this is Comeback’s blog and all but the men on here ooooh…I tell you they say what they feel when they feel it…they are confident, sexy and cool…
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:33 am
@Comeback: ROFL. I thought you’d find it funny… seem that you are a Discovery Channel geek like me.
@Jac: Down girl, down! LOL
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:33 am
@Jac
“When I find someone who embodies my list and I will find them I am walking up to them and saying “All I want for Christmas is you” AND Does anyone know the song “Santa Claus is a Black Man”?
awwwww *sniff*…and no, but I have heard of “Jesus was a black man, not a white man with a tan”
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:34 am
@ No (good list) im partial of course too:
“4) Being able to communicate her feelings, honestly and directly. Not holding her tongue when she feels slighted in the relationship, and eager to voice her concerns and listens to mine, but also knows that there is a time and place to talk about such matters.”
you wanna go half on a sandwich LOL today??
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:34 am
Ew at that crasshopper, COMEBACK. LOL.
Girl, I had a praying mantis on my car when I got off work one day… If yaw could have seen the show I put on, you’d disown me. They scare me to death.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:36 am
Nicki-I’m cooler than the under side of the pillow
I’m going to be so not fashionable today and wear sweatpants but I will wear make up to make up for it
Cuzzo-You have to hear it! It’s this little girl and she’s like he’s handsome like my daddy too….and she goes on and on about how her Momma musta met him before cause she slept outside the door and whatnot! Kids! I gotta get me one and a black Santa to help me with ‘em
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:38 am
No More that’s a nice list as well…but here’s one thing that I noticed. I would often get chewed out b/c of my preference of wanting a man to provide for me and the audacity that I felt I deserved it.
…and as I read your lists they are all emotional traits, even when Comeback listed her “He does NOT have a poverty consciousness…His mind is expansive and he his making serious actionable steps toward his goals.”…it still did not mention money or looks.
So let’s be real, we meet people everyday with those qualities but if his ambitions is to be a manager at a Kwike Mart Comeback would you still count your blessings that you met him.
Humble, No More and Nicki…what if the person you described came in a less than asthetically pleasing package, would you count your blessings?
I only ask this b/c we have all met someone who embodies the qualities we CLAIM to want in a mate BUT we are a shallow and materialistic society and how much of our mate choices are driven by our needs instead of our desires, or external circumstances that we can control?

“So let’s be real, we meet people everyday with those qualities but if his ambitions is to be a manager at a Kwike Mart Comeback would you still count your blessings that you met him.”
let’s be honest….prolly NOT…but lets be honest ONST (yes ONST again)..who the hell dreams of managing a kwike mart/7-11.
Imma be real, unless his vision includes OWNING it. Im not interested. im sorry.

COMEBACK!
I SAW W LAST NIGHT!
*back to our regularly scheduled programming*
Tea’s right but I think they basics have to be there as well like what if he has a million bucks and a $2 personality. I think that’s how we have to balance it. As far as looks are concerned the men have stated time and time again that women that look like Serena, Deelishis and Kim can sometimes have stank attitudes. SO I think what everyone is trying to get at is that there must be some kind of balance.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:43 am
Sweatpants and makeup? Jac, I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN.
@T: He’s gotta be ok looking.. now he doesn’t have to look like Boris or Edris, but I have to be attractive… as for body types, I don’t like skinny men… it’s just gross… I have had all kinds, from the chubby (my girls call me a chubby chaser) to football player shape. In essence, he has to be bigger than me.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:46 am
*Ahem*
He is able to respectfully agree to disagree and drop the issue thereafter
He loves his parents
He can “fit in” in any setting/crowd
He is polite and mannerable (to everybody)
He can put my @ss in check (goes with the first one)
He’s concerned about me (i.e. Do I need to go to the grocery store?)
He can make ME laugh and understand my sense of humor
He can express his feelings
He is a stallion in the bedroom (is that superficial? cuz I need this to remain interested, sorry)
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:47 am
Oh and money??? I need him to make equal to more than me right now in my life. I don’t have a career yet, I have a job. I only make enough to take care of me….
Of course once I get my career, this may change.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:48 am
@Cuzzo: “He can put my @ss in check (goes with the first one) ”
High fives ya on this. Sexxxxy.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:49 am
Thanks for the replies to my list ladies.
Teacia: “I would often get chewed out b/c of my preference of wanting a man to provide for me and the audacity that I felt I deserved it.”
I dont have to agree with your preference, but the fact that you felt confident enough to tell me that you feel that way would be all I ask. I would salute you on being woman enough to tell me what you expected, it would be up to me to figure out if I was willing to fulfill that need or not.
And, I didn’t list this but I cannot have a relationship with someone I am not physically attracted to. Shallow or not, you can have all those qualities but if I dont find you outwardly beautiful in my own way then it wont matter.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:50 am
@Tea
We all want that superficial looker – it just isn’t necessary to list.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:50 am
@Teacia
“Humble, No More and Nicki…what if the person you described came in a less than asthetically pleasing package, would you count your blessings?”
I am almost close to accepting that the woman who has the qualities i’m looking for will not be as pleasing as I want. I try not to stereotype and judge a book by its cover but from my experience the more attractive the woman the less serious I take her for a long term relationship. It seems that what some women have in looks they lose in character and personality. Part of that has to do with how our society treats attractive women. I do have my limits on what I will accept physically.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:50 am
So yeah, this narrows down that dating pool…see there’s more to a person that just an outlined list…and until I figure out mine in its entirety I think I’m going to refrain from one altogether.
…no need in fooling myself into thinking I want one thing when I actually want another.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:51 am
@teacia:
I rebuke this devil that has retched up inside of you today to take you from a Positive Patty to a Negative Nancy! Now drop down and tell me 5 things you are grateful FOR!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:53 am
@ Tea
I KNOW THIS SOUNDS HARSH but vision is important to me. Its not really about the money. Money is all energy anyway. Its all exchange for perceived value. The higher the “value”the higher the level of earning…my point is the VISION. Vision means that he can see us out of a bad situation. It means that he doesn’t resign to stupid simple minded setbacks. I big thinker is also a happier man. A man who can lead his family well. Find creative solutions for common everyday problems.
I know a few men..who buckle AT ANY AND ALL “setbacks” and challenges. I translate his ability to see the big picture as his ability to TAKE CARE OF HIS FAMILY.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:53 am
@No More: “Shallow or not, you can have all those qualities but if I dont find you outwardly beautiful in my own way then it wont matter.”
…please submit revised list.
@Comeback: “let’s be honest….prolly NOT…but lets be honest ONST (yes ONST again)..who the hell dreams of managing a kwike mart/7-11.
Imma be real, unless his vision includes OWNING it. Im not interested. im sorry.”
…you don’t want a blue collar man, please revise your list as well.
By now I’m sure you all see where I’m going with this…be all the way real with your list, b/c you will ONLY get what you ask for…some things are too important to be left out, shallow or not, materialistic or not.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:53 am
Hey Jolie! Welcome back lady.
Man…I am sitting here thinking about the men I’ve dated and how apparently they’re all so attractive. Eh, maybe I need a whoadie.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:54 am
“Positive Patty to a Negative Nancy! Now drop down and tell me 5 things you are grateful FOR”
LOL.. Jolie, I have now deemed you Sunshine Suzy.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:54 am
@Nicki
ahhhh, the money.*dun dun duuun*
I don’t know how to list this. I’m dating a guy now that works at Home Depot, rents his place, and goes to school – so he can’t have that much money. But, he doesn’t cry about being broke nor does he aspire to remain in his current situation.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:54 am
@ Jac: WTF is this? “whoadie.”
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:57 am
@Jolie: “I rebuke this devil that has retched up inside of you today to take you from a Positive Patty to a Negative Nancy!”
…someone has to be the voice of reason up in here today…so i’m calling bullshit on everyone’s happy go lucky list…no one comes prepackaged the way we want them.
@Comeback: “Money is all energy anyway. Its all exchange for perceived value. The higher the “value”the higher the level of earning…my point is the VISION.”
…so basically you want a man who ENVISIONS himself wealthy…which only means that you want a man with money. In in a perfect society, not all men want to be wealthy…some people don’t value wealth as much as they do family and the simple comforts in life.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:00 pm
@Teacia: “no one comes prepackaged the way we want them.”
Well if there’s millions of people who are naturally incompatible with you, you dont think theres a chance that there may be one who is?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:01 pm
“…so basically you want a man who ENVISIONS himself wealthy…which only means that you want a man with money”
not really. I would be satisfied honestly with a college professor. I know how to fry up some bacon and bring it home in a pan. But that means that he would have to be my cheerleader. Root me on. And not hate. Its a lot of males out here who think like Jane Pitman.
Money is a tool. It means that you’re able to help those around you. enrich your community. It also translates into time. Im big on creativity. Creativity COSTS MONEY.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:02 pm
@Teacia
“So yeah, this narrows down that dating pool…see there’s more to a person that just an outlined list…and until I figure out mine in its entirety I think I’m going to refrain from one altogether.”
I can’t speak for women but for some men all it takes is to deal with one or more monsters than you are through. A lot of men know what they want physically but won’t let that stop them from meeting a good woman that has their back. I got a few boys that have dealt or are still with women that they would never have given a chance in the past. They were or are with them because of who those women are.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:03 pm
@Cuzzo: “ahhhh, the money.*dun dun duuun*”
Girl, if he got all of that??? Great. Roll with it.. he’s got goals. Some guys, I dated one, use lack of money to get out of doing ANYTHING. Heck, he still lived with his parents and was 28 and I dated him! Screwing in his mom’s house and all.
Thing is, he was never trying to do anything to improve the situation.
Thing is, I’m far from a materialistic girl. I buy for myself. I can work with a man, BUT I will not carry him.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:05 pm
@No More: “Well if there’s millions of people who are naturally incompatible with you, you dont think theres a chance that there may be one who is?”
yes, if i’m completely honest about my wants…and i mean in its entirety.
@Comeback: what is so wrong with just saying that you want a man with money…most college professors are knocking on 100k if not already making it…there is nothing blue collar about that.
@Humble: you see more mixed pair women with men than the other way around, we settle when it comes to looks more than men b/c we know that the pickings are slim, so please spare me.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:07 pm
@Nicki: “I’m far from a materialistic girl. I buy for myself. I can work with a man, BUT I will not carry him.”
…and there is nothing wrong with that, just make sure to include it in your list…a man who is equally as self sufficient and can take care of home.
I’m just saying all, all the things listed are nice…but they miss a sense of realness to them.
Please join me on Reality Ranch…the Fantasy Flight is scheduled to land in 5 minutes.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:08 pm
@Comeback
validate my list or you will receive a woeful email.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:09 pm
I’m actually going to take a lunch today…maybe I’ll be in a more optimistic mood once I get back.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:10 pm
“Please join me on Reality Ranch…the Fantasy Flight is scheduled to land in 5 minutes.”
LOL. My friend said something like this the other day.. you creatives make me sick.
You are right, that specification needs to be addes. My list is far from complete though.. none of this stuff is on paper, just in my brain. hell, check out me and Jac’s site, where are topic is about the same. This list and that list are pretty different.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:11 pm
@Cuzzo: “He is able to respectfully agree to disagree and drop the issue thereafter.”
…after my last run in, if i meet a man who can accomplish this i don’t care how he looks or how much he makes as long as he can just let sh*t go.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:13 pm
Nicki girl I saw it…and at least you put handsome in there…throw in financially stable and you’re all set…lol.
For real now I going to get something to eat before I pass out.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:13 pm
@Cuzzo..im sorry. I read it. Teacia got me over here going into deep pontification on my needing a man with money or not LOL..
“He can put my @ss in check (goes with the first one) ”
I LIKE THIS ALOT. I don’t necessarily like it “in public” but yes privately he should be able to tell me when I’m wrong. And I should be able to (as a woman with a decent ego and good introspection and respect for him and me) be able to take it on the chin. Self correct or at least work on it.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:14 pm
Has anyone ever heard of George Zalucki? My ex turned me onto him…
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:16 pm
Man, this is a heart tugging one.
NoMore: Wasn’t it you who said that there’s a woman out there who will shoot, kill, take bullets for you you just have to get right to get to get her, right?
Well think about this if you will for every woman out there like that, there’s a man out there who will sling on the corner and work a normal 9-5 and a weekend job just to give the woman he loves what she wants. I mean really people like this really exist and cheer for their mates but sometimes when you continue to demand they don’t stick around. Sometimes you have to be grateful for what they’re willing to give and please re-evaluate what you’re putting on the table. Evenly yoked people!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:18 pm
@Tea
ease up homey…I’m sure there’s plenty more to everyone’s list…some of them were written on a whim and you up here critiquing everybody – dayum professor.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:19 pm
@T “Nicki girl I saw it…and at least you put handsome in there…throw in financially stable and you’re all set…lol.”
Yes honey child.. handsome is a must. LOL. At least handsome in my eyes….
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:20 pm

Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:23 pm
@Comeback: Oh honey, you just must!!!! I bought his cds too…. I listen in the car. He is a beast. I wish I could afford to get him to do his speech on Relationships… I promise the ex (the one who didn’t want me to cry) listened to it with me once and held my hand. Hell that made me cry. LOL
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:23 pm
“i keep forgettin we’re not in love anymore””

@Nicki
“Cry on the inside though.”
oh, cuz I was about to say… lol
He held your hand but didn’t like you crying? Did he has something against the waterfalls only or all emotion?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:31 pm
@Comeback…. Hold up… I have a fav Michael McDonald song that I can’t think of..
@Cuzzo. Yes girl. He had a problem with emotion PERIOD. He explained emotions once but I really couldn’t understand it, so I zoned out and and watched his lips move.
Mind you, I’m stonefaced everywhere else, but with my man, I want to be transparent. ALthough I’m appreciative of him turning me onto George Z and “The Secret,” I just needed him to validate “ME”
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:32 pm
Why do I love Michael McDonald but owns NONE of his music?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:34 pm
@Teacia
“you see more mixed pair women with men than the other way around, we settle when it comes to looks more than men b/c we know that the pickings are slim, so please spare me.”
I have seen a lot of dudes that have married, dated, or are in relationships with women that aren’t physically what they want. I was with my ex for 5 years and she wasn’t my type. I have accepted that if I get married or in another relationship the woman won’t be exactly what I want physically. I know with my taste in women that it will be hard for me to find that anyway. I dont even attract the type of women I like.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:43 pm
@ Nick the rest of my Michael Mc. fav stuff is all doobie brothers. “what a fool believes”..i could make a post out of that damn song. Just the lyrics…LOL..i might do that.
that song is deep. pixie dust anyone LOL
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:43 pm

Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:44 pm
@Humble: “”. I know with my taste in women that it will be hard for me to find that anyway. ”
I need specifics sir.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:46 pm

“I need specifics sir.”
Uhh. specifics?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:55 pm
@Comeback: I didn’t see that. I loved some What’s Happening though… checking out that youtube now.

@Nicki
I think it’s all of the above (re his list) and a fatty. j/k
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:15 pm
Humble’s type is like most men’s type part fiction part fantasy….
the only person today who can go half on a tuna melt is No More….his list seemed really fair and balanced like fox news.
***ducking brother hummy’s wrath***
(ok so ONE dam#n person saw “W”..thanks Jac)
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:20 pm
@Comeback
“fair and balanced like fox news”

@Comeback
“ok so ONE dam#n person saw “W”..thanks Jac”
I didn’t know you were recommending it. And here I spent my rare moment going to movies and saw Lakeview Terrace. crap-o-la btw
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:35 pm
@Cuzzo:
And humble still hasn’t responded. AH!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Hey yall!!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:50 pm
@nickisunshine
I like women similar to this face wise
http://www.redegalega.org/synapsis/136/lauryn_hill_6.jpg
http://www.weblo.com/asset_images/large/47757de8dd838.jpg
And built like this
http://www.hiphoplead.com/?attachment_id=1134
But maybe this more of a fantasy. IDK. I have never in my life attracted or dated a woman like this
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:51 pm
@Comeback
“the only person today who can go half on a tuna melt is No More….his list seemed really fair and balanced like fox news.”
fair and balanced like fox news? Are you serious?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:56 pm
@Humble:
Beautiful women.. the one with the body is def a tip drill. LOL
I think you could find those women down south…
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:58 pm
“Good AfternoonTings and Hellerrrr” to everyone.
Santa already brought me what was on my list and God showed me that everything that was on my list wasn’t necessarily a need but a slightly shallow want.
Now all I need is something sparkly to go with the man
)
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:59 pm
Humble kinda does like women where you’re like okay it must be your ass cause it ain’t yo face.
Anyways, yeah I saw the damned movie on my multi-tasking ass date last night.
Anyways I am gearing up to put list out there you guys.
Cuzzo-I am taking submissions on shoes for women.
Humble-Care to give the 411 on what’s good for men?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:59 pm
Humble…yeah that’s what the chics look like down here…come on down brother Humble…you can crash on my floor while you find your suga mama.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:17 pm
lol. how you gonna show us the face of lauryn hill and the body of gotdayum?
and she gotta know about politics and internationals and what not! *smh*
My ideal was Godfrey (the comedien). chocolate skin, nice teeth, body and nose eyes mouth ratio…but, if you’re attractive – you’re just that. I could list a buncha attractive brothas (like officer dude from why did i get married – be still my heart)
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:18 pm
“officer dude from why did i get married ”
He could get it (precelibacy) on ANYday.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Cuzzo-You ain’t never lied. Lawd whew…
*falls on the floor and shakes*
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Ok, Im awake now. It looks like you all covered everything I pretty much want right now in a man. No More/Humble even covered a few things I want in a man. I can still create my own list but no need to repeat some of the same things.
I have a question… If you have been talking to someone you are interested in for almost 3 months. When is an appropriate time to ask them what they are looking for in a mate?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Reggie Freakin Bush and his young arse can get it.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:22 pm
“*falls on the floor and shakes*”
WTF? STOPPIT. LOL
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:23 pm
“I have a question… If you have been talking to someone you are interested in for almost 3 months. When is an appropriate time to ask them what they are looking for in a mate”
Umm, the first date. I’m serious.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Cuzzo I know Godfrey…he actually cut his baby dreds off while he was in Tampa one weekend. Me and my homegirl met him at the Waffle House late one night and he invited us to his show at the Improv…he’s a cool guy, and I had the biggest crush on him even before I met him, the next night when I saw him with his hair cut I was like DAYUM!!
Man, I had some great times in Tampa.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:24 pm
@Jac
“*falls on the floor and shakes*”
LMAO at this statement. y can i piture u doing this?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:26 pm
Santa is bringin me a man that….
1. that is strong in body, mind, and spirit
2. that is never going to cheat on me.
3. that will not smother me but still understands my need for constant affirmation
4. that loves his mother but isnt a momma’s boy
5. that understands the value of family
6. that is okay with the fact that i don’t want children.
7. that can take care of himself financially and doesnt need me to support him
8. that accepts my curves and doesnt push me to change myself image but supports me in my journey to be healthy.
9. that understands its okay to just snuggle sometimes and that s-e-x is not a requirement.
10. that accepts my views on what is important in the bedroom and can keep up with my s-e-x drive.
11. that gets along with my family.
i think that completes my list… back to work and trying to concentrate today. its not going well.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:27 pm
I can picture her silly @ss shaking too, lol…so sad.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:28 pm
@Tea
GTFOH…I think I’ve loved him forever – ask any of my friends. lol. it was Godfrey this and Godfrey that. he just seemed so cool like u mentioned.
@Ms.D
“When is an appropriate time to ask them what they are looking for in a mate”
Now.
@Nicki
Reggie Bush…mmm mmm mmm
I don’t even have words for that type of fine.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:32 pm
“that understands its okay to just snuggle sometimes and that s-e-x is not a requirement.”
Praise black Jesus! Yes!!! I think I should be entitled to just cuddle…sometimes that’s a better orgasm than the real thing.
Please and thank you!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:33 pm
@QB
“2. that is never going to cheat on me.”
WTF? C’mon now. How you gonna ask for this? I think you needa rephrase that like a man that is honest enough to break it off with me… (or just honest period)
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:33 pm
@ Q..good list.
@ Hummy ..serious like a tuna melt in a bag surrounded by hungry @zz fit clubbers man.
@ EVERYONE…I just got off the phone with Santa and he said everyone’s man/woman is on its way..but he needs some of yall to prove yourself to him..by joining the celibates for two months.
im just passing the word. don’t shoot the messenger.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:34 pm
Cuzzo being honest and breaking it off with me is the same thing as never cheating on me. If he is honest and breaks it off w/ me b/c he wants to be with someone else then he essentially isnt cheating.
But i am never again going to be cheated on. i have never been with a guy that didnt cheat on me and I am done with that. I will be single for the rest of my life before I allow myself to be cheated on again.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:35 pm
I agree girls, Godfrey is gorg.
I need to stop watching keeping up with the Kardashians… I’m abbreviating everything.
@Cuzzo: Reggie is commit a crime fine.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:35 pm
“him..by joining the celibates for two months”
Oh sheeeit! LOL. Sign up sheet coming right up. LMAO
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:36 pm
@Jac
I can’t believe YOU are co-signing that statement. I’d think you’re man would be asking that of you instead. lol.
I cannot cosign this statement. *crosses arms*
matter of fact #9 and #10 cancel each other out. high sex drive…want to cuddle….uh uh.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Nope Cuzzo…I swear on my Granny’s grave. We were sitting there and he was with one of his homegirls and I was like Kiya that looks like Godfrey and she actually said, “who?”…I could have slapped fire out of her.
Cuzzo he has the PRETTIEST smile EVER!!! So me being stupid bold, I walked over and was like excuse me can I have your autograph…aren’t you the dude from Half Baked(i was kidding) and he looked at me crazy and then I told him that I was kidding, shortly after he was about to leave and invited us to his show the next night, and put us on the guestlist.
BUT after the show we all met at Mirage(THE club in Tampa) and one of the dudes I was dating was there…so ended that, lol…I think I still have his # if I can find my old phone…lol, that was almost 2 years ago he wouldn’t even remember me now.

Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:41 pm
Wow Cuzzo feels like you’ve got it out for me.
They do not cancel each other out at all. 9 out of 10 nights i want to get it on and I need a man that can keep up with that but on that 10th night he needs to understand that I just want to curl up on the couch and watch a movie with no hanky panky while he holds me.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:41 pm
“*loads gun to shoot Santa*”
Oh God! I’m dying.

***throws ninja smoke bomb***
what’s good yo! thought i’d comment cause this is a great frickin topic.
why so’s dream woman christmas list.
1. passion. a spark, a fire, a want for life and appreciation for everything it has to offer.
2. fun.
3. healthy sexual appetite. very important.
4. sharp/witty/funny/offbeat sense of humor – if she can laugh at the simpsons, and understands the fresh prince, we’re good. That also understands when i playfully tease her, it’s my way of saying i really like you.
5. abundance mindset. Kind of a variation of what Comeback said but I need to know that my lady thinks that anything is possible. And that dominant thoughts result in physical realization.
Speaking of anything possible, did you know that we’re gonna have a black president in a couple of weeks. Can I ask everyone to think about that? I mean think hard. Look at the back of a history book at all the presidents, then think about it.
6. timelessly beautiful. this involves keeping herself up in every way. And knowing beauty isn’t simply physical.
7. different than me. Willing to challenge my viewpoints and expand my thinking.
8. ….but the same. had to work hard to where she’s gotten, and has that work ethic instilled.
9. will let me lead. I’ll set the direction, you take care of the details.
10. has hobbies – i don’t care if you’re a underwater basket weaver. Gotta have something to express that passion.
11. money smart. [shout out to mikki] How one spends their money is quite important.
12. I’ll end this list now. i dont want to give everything away, yunno….
*** throws ninja smoke bomb and disappears ***

Umm..let’s see what else oh yeah…ok 2 months of celibacy…I can swing it.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:46 pm
@QB
But, as far as ure #9 and #10 – if it works like that for u, awesome but, it ain’t gonna work for me. it might start out as cuddling but as of late i’ve been meeting men who love to uh “swim” and i’m not stopping any laps.

“Speaking of anything possible, did you know that we’re gonna have a black president in a couple of weeks. Can I ask everyone to think about that? I mean think hard. Look at the back of a history book at all the presidents, then think about it.”
You’re so right. This is amazing…it will be one of the best days in history!
I can’t even put quotes around it but whyso is so on point with everything he just said. I especially like that he’ll set the direction and she handles the details, now this is evocative of the man we are all needing and desiring.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:49 pm
okay ladies now that I know Cuzzo isnt out to get me i am going back to work. Havin a real hard time concentrating today. See ya’ll on my next break.

Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:52 pm
@Cuzzo: ” don’t think I would be able to speak if I was face to face with dat man. oh lawd *keep it together, keep it together”
You’d be like Andre 3000 in his head, “keep it together, keep it together. U ice cold!)

Why so: what it do homie, you’ve been missed man…finally a little more testosterone up in this here crowded treehouse. your list was cool man, and since i’m in a better mood i’m not going to pick it apart like i did the others…lol.

…cause you’re always so d@mn pratical…when was the last time you spoke from your heart madam.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:59 pm
I dunno #1 on his list sounds like a hippie. How can you tell if someone has a passion and spark for life? Or should I just simply read it as a positive person?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 3:00 pm
“…cause you’re always so d@mn pratical…when was the last time you spoke from your heart madam”

Comeback: I’m just saying, your posts are smart, funny and pratical. I don’t get a sense of what makes you tick from them…other than you being smart, funny and pratical…there’s no heart in them. I could be wrong, maybe others on here disagree.
And I say indulge…I had a Big Mac for lunch, and it was delish!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 3:07 pm
First rule of leadership: Never ask from others what you wouldn’t do yourself. well, lol, not sure if that’s the first rule. But it’s important.
Yes. I bring to the table. Different dishes, but made with the same love. And trust me, i have my flaws. But everyone has to run before they fly right?

@Cuzzo
“I guess. u mentioned she (the type) is not the one u attract. so, what type do you attract?”
Its hard for me to say. I can most definitely say i don’t attract light-skinned or dark-skinned women. They usually fall in b/w. I also never attract bourgie/suburban type women.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 3:26 pm
Nope Humble…they exist…especially down here. You have to realize that it’s only cold here 3 months out of the year, so I think the shallow factor runs deep in the south…also the south is definitely home of the darker complexioned sistahs.
Why so…continue to run mister.
I’m out yall, I have a few baseboards and electrical sockets to remove in order to rid myself of my pesky visitors!!

i just gotta get back on the wagon **eats a french fry***
Tea are you related to our buddy over on SBM, whose 3rd to last complaint was everybody was so “perfect”. I have my flaws too. Lots of them. Ithink we’ve been blogging together enough that many of you know what they are.
But there are some things about my life that are working. I would think that would soldify what is working in others or modify things as well. Louise Hay says nobody ever listens to someone broke and sick all the time.
if imma listen and get inspired it better be from somebody whose making it do what it do-at least in their area of expertise.
and i know i’m not exactly an expert in relationships…..yet…but i can say im not attracting the same ole men i used to. thats a big improvement over my life 4 years ago.
i can’t get on here talking about how i suck..its bad business all around. It attracts other bad things and just to make someone feel better for 15 mins too me isn’t exactly productive use of my time.

Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 3:46 pm
“i can’t get on here talking about how i suck..its bad business all around”
The period to feel sorry for yourself is EXTREMELY brief. It should be no more than a millisecond. Take what you know about yourself and work on it until you get over it.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 3:48 pm
All this talk about fries and burgers. Do I have to put the fit club on humble’s diet and work out plan?

If you guys don’t mind I would like to go off topic for a quick sec.
I need a new comforter. I have a Ralph Lauren one that is the best comforter ever. I want another one but they dont have one in a color I want. I am looking for a dark red or black comforter just as heavy and thick as the Ralph Lauren one I have. Where can I find one or have any of you seen one.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:00 pm

uuuh. I don’t think you can base a long term relationship off that?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:05 pm
@Humble
Uh, I’ve never bought an actual comforter. I use a duvet (which is a comforter essentially but I guess not as heavy) and buy diff duvet covers.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:10 pm
Hey Humble :
Check here.. http://www.amazon.com/Tommy-Hilfiger-Chino-Twin-Comforter/dp/B00080Q3TO
But I’d also check at a local HomeGoods: http://www.homegoods.com/index.asp
They have one in Troy, Michigan.. they usually have great quality, name brand comforters at an affordable price
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:10 pm
comeback.. i’m in moderation.. trying to help humble with links ..hun..thanks!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:21 pm
how did yall get to comforters and duvet’s LOL.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:22 pm
Do guys like floral prints??? I love the shabby chic collection its at target and of course my girl Martha at Walmart.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:25 pm
@comeback: humble asked if he could go off topic .. and since the treehouse if full of women .. he asked us a question..
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:27 pm
oh he sure did. The request is granted. LOL
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:31 pm
@Jolie – Thank you. I will go to HomeGoods. I like the red one on Amazon but it is too small. I need a king size comforter.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:33 pm
@Cuzzo – I have never heard of a duvet. Are they warm?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:33 pm
@Humble: “uuuh. I don’t think you can base a long term relationship off that?”
I’m not sure, big tits is half the battle. I’ve let a few things slide in the name of big titties.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:34 pm
My sister has a Tommy comforter and it is probably the most comfortable comforter I’ve known.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:43 pm
@Humble
“I have never heard of a duvet. Are they warm?” mines is…it’s from J.C. Penny – then again I don’t know how cold it get’s in your parts. I find to be much easier since you can just change the cover everytime you want a new look.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:50 pm
re: duvets: They are INCREDIBLY warm depending on the contents. I think they also pack them with different types of feathers for varying degrees of insulation.
To me they are best for cold months. And they look better than regular old comforters because they are so plush like (depedning on size and weight of contents)
they also aren’t cheap depending on quality.
http://www.plumeriabay.com/main/comforters.aspx
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:54 pm
@No More Heroes – I’m feeling the tommy comforter it’s just too small. You are a breast man? You don’t have love for the backside?
@Cuzzo
“mines is…it’s from J.C. Penny – then again I don’t know how cold it get’s in your parts. I find to be much easier since you can just change the cover everytime you want a new look.”
It gets cold as hell here in Detroit. (no pun intended) In Jan and Feb it can get below zero degrees. Is a duvet like a big pillow case? You have the insulation and you switch covers?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 4:59 pm
“i can’t get on here talking about how i suck..its bad business all around. It attracts other bad things and just to make someone feel better for 15 mins too me isn’t exactly productive use of my time.”
uhhh, Comeback who said that you had to talk about being down and out…heart doesn’t mean pity or sadness. Sometimes I say inspiring things from my heart that are positive…so your response to mine was a little left field.
Humble: I’m in LOVE with my Duvet…I got it from Linen and Things, it’s thick, soft, cozy and warm. But an ex of mine had a Tommy comforter and I think I loved it more than him.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 5:06 pm
@Humble
The duvet would be the pillow and the duvet cover would be the case.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 5:06 pm
@Humble: I like both breasts and butt. I cant choose one over the other, even though it seems most of the women I dated had more boobs then butt.
Did any of yall read the latest Kwame Kilpatrick texts? That guy is hilarious.
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 5:15 pm
@Comeback – good look on that site. I will see if they have something there. I looked at a few and they were expensive. I saw a few that I liked.
@Cuzzo
“The duvet would be the pillow and the duvet cover would be the case”
Ok I have one of those in the guest room. I didn’t know that is what it’s called.
@Teacia – I really liked the tommy. I will see if the have a bigger one.
@No More Heroes
“I like both breasts and butt. I cant choose one over the other, even though it seems most of the women I dated had more boobs then butt.

IDK. I love breasts but I LOVE the backside. They released the other texts?
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 5:19 pm
Where can you see the texts, I wanna know?!?!?!
Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 5:20 pm

I’m late but my list is short.
- Big Titties (or medium and nicely formed)

4. Will always remember that forehead kisses and hand holding are little things that mean so much.
5. Be responsible with commitments, finances, and health.
